Design: One of the few North American labels to feature an illustration of the singer (Juanita Vastine, aka 'Sweet Georgia Brown'). The heading elements are well combined, facilitated by the shortness of the label name.

History: Formed in the early 1940s, the Tennessee-based Whippoorwills were a country/jazz combo who highly-regarded by their peers in the music industry, but despite their outstanding instrumental and vocal talent they never scored a major record hit, and would disband in the late 1950s. Perfection Plastics, which pressed Vita Records, was located in Pasadena, California.
