Tennessee (U.S.A.) / 1950

Design: A very basic design, printed letterpress (thus cheaply). Though most sans serif fonts, as used for the label name, are essentially monoline, this example shows thick verticals and thin horizontals.

History: Unknown (have info? Please send to info.re.78s@shaw.ca). The name 'Tennessee' has a a Native American origin, the state being named after a Cherokee Indian village called Tanasi. It is assumed that the label was based somewhere within the state. Label scan courtesy of collector Georg Richter of Germany.
