Design: An interesting variation on the 'yin-yang' segmentation seen on several post-war labels (e.g. Checker, Listen, Specialty, Vee-Jay). The contrasting of arbitrary sharp-angled and rounded shapes, which began to be seen in 1950s design, continues here. The lively, thick-stroke brush lettering for the label name, with its flowing baseline, is a treatment also to be seen on many post-war labels (e.g. Accordia, Aragon, Rondo).
History: Unknown (have info? Please send to firstname.lastname@example.org). Label scan courtesy of collector Jukka Kettunen of Finland, who writes: "'Armi' is a woman's name, and this song celebrates the election of Armi Kuusela of Finland as 'Miss Universe' in 1952."
