Design: A distinctive image in which the typical 'banner' across the centre is created by the edges of two yellow discs being laid over a blue background. Lettering running around the outside is treated in positive/negative fashion, creating a very difficult register job for the printer. The 'R' logo above the spindle hole is also given positive/negative treatment. There is a very interesting logo on the right of the label, which appears to have heraldic origins, showing an outlined stylized lion couchant over a circular monogram made up of the letters 'JB' (?); what this might represent is unclear. Though this is a Norwegian label, blue and yellow is more suggestive of Sweden, being the same colour combination as the Swedish national flag.
