Design: The well-recognized RCA logo, with its electric flash underline, was the company's first trademark; the overall design is somewhat reminiscent of an old-fashioned radio dial.

History: The Radio Corporation of America, founded in 1919, became involved in the record manufacturing business in 1929 with the purchase of the Victor Talking Machine Co., the resultant combine becoming known as RCA Victor. Label scan courtesy of collector Klaas Vonk of The Netherlands.
