Design: The design seems to have taken its inspiration from the song title, as it features the Stars and Stripes flag. The graphic treatment of broad cut-out flat shapes is typical of the 1950s, though here the shapes are delicate; overall, the design is well balanced and visually attractive. Despite the rather severe and cramped font used for the label name, relief is provided by the irregular baseline alignment.
History: Evidently a children's label issued by Columbia, the record being manufactured in attractive (and durable) red vinyl. Label scan courtesy of collector Joaquin López of Mexico.
