Design: One of very few labels to feature an oblong panel (see Continental), this 'sign' illuminated by electric light bulbs. A 'monogram' usually describes two or more initials integrated into one image.

History: Evidently a New York label specializing in music with a Caribbean flavour. Aldwyn Roberts, a.k.a. Lord Kitchener (here with both names misspelled) was a Trinidadian singer who was known as the "Grand Master of calypso." Label scan courtesy of collector Ken Hagelthorn of the U.S.A.
