Design: The label name sits on a gently curving baseline which is mirror-inverted in the background by an organic wreath or corn-sheaf, suggesting the Ukraine. At the top is a Tuscan (bifurcated-serifed) initial M from the late Victorian era, the intricacy of its decorated face matching the texture of the corn-sheaf which partially encloses it. Overall, much the greater part of the label is dedicated to the highly ornamental imagery, but the remaining area, allotted to the imprinting, is economically handled.

History: Unknown (have info? Please send to info.re.78s@shaw.ca). Label scan courtesy of collector and musicologist Bill Dean-Myatt of the U.K.
