Impress

Impress (U.K.) / c. 1955

back next

Design: The initial letters 'IMP' (for Inter-Art Music Publishers) are used to create part of the label name (Impress), and are treated in bold in the vanishing-perspective logo, but the single-colour printing mitigates its visual impact. The full name of the company and its address, appearing above the spindle hole, is clumsily and unevenly hand-lettered.

History: Label scan courtesy of collector Bill Dean-Myatt of the U.K.
