Design: The baseline of the label name follows the outer curve, even though the name is very short and the lettering is condensed, making it look as if it is being flipped into the air. The metallic silver and blue colour combination is typical of the 1950s.
History: Specializing in doo-wop and rhythm 'n' blues music, Flip Records operated out of Los Angeles, California in the 1950s. Their back catalogue was sold to Ace Records of the U.K. in 2000 (info: Wikipedia). The Six Teens made the Top 10 charts of 1956 with this record, but that was to be their only major success.
