Design: A perfect word-picture of pen calligraphy for the label name, with the stray extremities of the initial letter whirling wildly out of control to one side, in contrast with the the regular, rhythmic verticals and horizontals governing the rest of the word.

History: Founded in 1949 by the Weiss brothers, who owned a pressing plant called Circle Records. Enjoying great success with its first client, jazz icon Dave Brubeck, the company became even more successful after signing up rock superstar group Creedence Clearwater Revival.
