Design: It is unclear what the loosely-drawn, positive/negative logo at the top is supposed to represent: an eye? the world? The choice of label name is also strange, since an 'ember' would normally connote a dying fire. The brush-inspired lettering is very well drawn.
History: Ember Records Canada was a subsidiary of an American corporation. Phonodisc, established in 1957 in Ontario, was at one time Canada's largest independent manufacturer and distributor of records. Other Canadian records manufactured by Phonodisc include Carlton, Delta, Regency and Regis.
