Disques Sandryon (Canada) / c. 1959

Design: The very basic design employs a brush script for the label name (appropriately titled Brush Script), which was designed in the U.S. in 1942, and became probably the most widely used script face of all time. The colours used, blue and white, would resonate with Quebecois record-buyers, being the same colour combination as the province's fleur-de-lis flag.

History: Label scan courtesy of collector Jean Theriault of Canada, who writes: "I have read a little bit about the singer/pin-up, Michèle Sandry, to find out she was born in France and moved to Montreal, where she had her own recording label."
