Biltmore (U.S.A.) / c. 1950

back next

Design: A stylized image of a hotel (not the famous Biltmore of New York City, which had twin towers over a main block). The bold cut-out shapes and absence of ornament are typical of 1950s design.

History: A bootleg operation, using low-quality materials. Active between 1949 and 1951.
