Design: The label name appears in Ultra Bodoni, a font belonging to the 'modern' family, which suddenly became extremely popular in the 1940s.

History: The Ansonia label seems to have been formed in the late 1940s or early 1950s, and catered to the Spanish-speaking ethnic population of the eastern U.S. Label scan courtesy of collector Owen Burgess of Canada.
