Design: The fonts used on this typographic design are those used on mechanical typesettting machines, i.e. the Linotype and Ludlow, which were widely used in newspaper and letterpress print shops. The label name appears in Bodoni, a 'modern' face which first appeared in the 18th century, featuring strong verticals and thin horizontals.

History: Label scan courtesy of musicologist and collector Bill Dean-Myatt of the U.K.
