Design: The lettering of the label name (and the copyright notice around the outer edge) is a hybrid of pen-Gothic and incised Roman forms. The upper line of the imprinting is set in a totally different style, an elegant Art Deco sans serif. The illustration at the top shows 'The Fountain of the Lions,' a feature in the courtyard of the Alhambra ('the red one,' named for the reddish-colored stone in which it was built), a palace in Granada, Spain.

History: Unknown (have info? Please send to info.re.78s@shaw.ca). Label scan courtesy of collector Graham Farnell of the U.K.
