Design: The font used for the label name is a Tuscan-serif font named Thunderbird Extra Condensed, evocative of Victorian-era posters and appropriate for this nostalgic return to New Orleans-style jazz.

History: Lu Watters was a trumpeter who was one of the leaders of the West Coast revival of 'Dixieland' music in the 1940s and 1950s. He founded the Yerba Buena 'traditional' jazz band in 1939, which was active until 1950. Label scan courtesy of collector Georg Richter of Germany.
