Vogue Records

Vogue Records (U.K.) / 1947

Design: A great asymmetrical design, featuring an outsized music note, and strong colours. Generally, the label name would appear in the upper segment and the track info in the lower, but a jazz label should be a little 'different.'

History: Label scan courtesy of collector Kjell Thorsen of Norway, who notes that the track on this jazz label was recorded May 16, 1943 and was the first of the Vogue releases in collaboration with the American Blue Note label. Alternate colour label scan below (a French version from 1951) courtesy of collector Georg Richter of Germany.
