S&GDesign: The label name ('TAC') is lettered in a block serif style, with a steep vertical arc to the cap line; the word 'Records' is lettered in a straight sans serif, the 'O' being formed by the spindle hole (see also S&G, right).

History: Thanks for updated info to Bill Daniels, who notes: "TAC Records means Theater Action Committee. Some of them were reissued on early Keynote in the 500 series. Some were recorded and pressed through Musicraft 1939." The featured artist here, Hazel Scott (1920-1981), was an accomplished jazz and classical pianist and singer, who was the first female of colour to host her own TV show, in 1950.
