Design: The label name appears in a geometrically-inspired Art Deco face, and follows the outer curve in an old-fashioned design. The Aeolian harp is also a throwback to an earlier age, often appearing on labels from the early 1900s.
History: Label scan courtesy of collector Florin Caloianu of Romania, who notes that the Sonola label was a short-lived issue from the time when Romania was under Communist governmental control; all other Romanian records between 1943 and 1965 were issued under the Electrecord label. As the imprinting appears in English, perhaps this label was intended for export.
