Design: A spare, restrained-looking design in a similar classical vein as other printed material produced by the company for its music book covers, featuring Art Deco lettering which follows the outer curve, contrasting with an attractive pseudo-medieval bookplate logo carrying an obscure Latin inscription.

History: G. Schirmer Inc. of New York, founded in 1861 as a classical music publishing company, is still active today in name, though the company was sold in the 1960s to other interests.
