S & G Records (U.S.A.) / c. 1949

back next

Design: A flamboyant piece of calligraphy for 'S & G,' the curlicues providing a strong contrast to the bold sans serif used on the rest of the label. Along with the Southern label, one of the few label designs to make successful use of the centre hole for the letter 'o' in the word 'Records.'

History: Unknown (have info? Please send to info.re.78s@shaw.ca). The label denotes the S&G Rubber Co. as the manufacturer.
