Design: The typography is atrocious, no doubt the result of pressure to rush out a propaganda piece of one of the rare 'successes' of the British military forces in the early years of WWII. HMS Cossack followed a German tanker into neutral Norwegian waters and rescued about 300 British prisoners who were on board.

History: Label scan courtesy of collector Bill Dean-Myatt of the U.K. The narrator, John Snagge, later achieved fame as a cast member of the Goon Show, a popular 1950s comedy radio program starring Peter Sellers, Spike Milligan and Harry Secombe.
