Design: A somewhat pedestrian design, incorporating a somewhat pedestrian logo in the counter of the cap 'O'. Silver on a solid colour was a popular 1950s colour combination.

History: The Ravens, formed in 1945, were in the vanguard of the doo-wop sound in pop music. Their last chart success was in 1952. Launched in 1945 in New York, the National label survived until 1951, when it was bought by Mercury Records. Label scan courtesy of collector Georg Richter of Germany.
