Manor 2

Manor (U.S.A.) / 1946

Design: Gothic lettering is frequently used on record labels, because of its association with tradition and reliability; the word 'Manor' has a medieval ring to it. The curlicues on to the letters relieve the angular severity. The music staff at the top seems to serve no purpose other than to fill a blank space.

History: Launched in 1946 as a companion to the Regis label.
