Design: A cleverly-conceived image of an old-fashioned street lamp being lit from the inside, with the label name in outline fashion being overlaid below, in the blobby, rough-looking style of 18th-century printing.

History: Label scan courtesy of jazzologist and collector Dave Dixon of Canada, who writes: "Lamplighter Records, formed by Los Angeles disc jockey Ted Yerxa, was one of many small labels to be founded on the west coast of the USA in the mid-1940s. It achieved success with its recordings of singer Kay Starr (later reissues were made on both Crystalette and Coast Records).
