Kobzar (Canada) / 1949

Design: The logo features a seated musician wearing baggy Cossack-style trousers playing a musical instrument (a balalaika?), superimposed on a stylized letter 'K.' There is also some rather nice hand-lettered script as part of the logo. The textured background of the upper segment has been created with the recently-developed 'mechanical screen.' Blue on red tends to 'vibrate,' the colours being at opposite ends of the colour scale.

History: An ethnic label, the record manufactured in red vinyl.
