Design: A distinctive angled bar across the centre containing the label name, which appears in a bold 'modern' italic so popular in the 1940s.

History: Evidently owned by musician Mezz Mezzrow, who was associated with clarinetist/saxophonist Sidney Bechet through the Jazz Ltd. Club in Chicago. The label name and catalogue was later purchased by Italian jazz aficionado Alessandro Protti, who in the 1990s issued CDs from the masters. Label scan courtesy of jazzologist and collector Dave Dixon of Canada.
