John Ryan (U.S.A.) / 1940

Design: A simple and elegant treatment, relying for appeal on the playful treatment given to the normally severe Art Deco style of lettering. The label has been adversely affected by damp, having been found in a drafty barn.

History: This label was apparently the production of a bandleader named Joe Rines, to which 'John Ryan' bears a close approximation.
