Design: Some very tasteful typefaces; the display type, named Lilith, is a revival from the Victorian era, when typefaces were being constructed from all kinds of fantastic foliage.

History: Founded by Nesuhi Ertegun, brother of the well-known Ahmet Ertegun (founder of Atlantic Records). Having married Marili Morden, owner of the Jazz Man Record Shop in Hollywood, he founded the Crescent record label in about 1944, which led to the Jazz Man label, which continued in his ownership until 1952. Alternate colour label scan (below) from England (with what seems to be a private address and the injunction "For home use only") courtesy of collector Georg Richter of Germany.
