Jade (U.S.A.) / c. 1948

Design: The label name is typeset in plain but rather clumsy block-serif letters, with a strange underline with turned-down endings. The imprinting is done in Linotype Metro, a commonly-used slug-cast font for letterpress printing. The colour combination is meant to reflect the colour of jade, a green-coloured gemstone.

History: Unknown (have info? Please send to info.re.78s@shaw.ca). Label courtesy of collector Owen Burgess of Canada.
