Design: An unexceptional, cheaply-produced label, typeset in a plain slug-cast sans serif font.
History: Possibly sold at the theatre where the artist was performing. 'Madame' Spivy (1906-1971) was a witty 'character' who opened her own New York nightclub in 1940, where she entertained as a singer and comedienne, lampooning that city's high society.
