Design: The poor positioning of the imprinting makes it look as if the label name is 'Bunny Berigan Elite.' The typographic treatment is very messy, with an admixture of sizes and styles, including old style roman, sans serif and brush script, and appearing in bold, regular, caps, upper and lowercase and italic, tight and wide letterspacing, etc.
History: The Classic Record Co. also published the Concertone label. Berigan, a jazz trumpeter who led his own band, died in 1942 at the young age of 33 from complications resulting from alcoholism. Thanks to collector Ed Wolk of Canada for donating the record.
