Design: A plain design utilizing a 'modern' font for the label name (a main 'family' of typefaces, distinguished by strong vertical strokes and hairline horizontals, with unbracketed serifs). Evolving in the late eighteenth century at the royal press of the Italian printer Giambattista Bodoni, it achieved sudden popularity for newspaper and general advertising in the 1940s.
