Design: The unorthodox style of lettering for the label name borrows from Hebrew calligraphy. The banner, surmounting a lyre flanked by laurel leaves, creates a graphic unit that is strong and well-arranged.

History: This label (unconnected to an earlier label of the same name) was launched in 1938, and dealt only with Hebrew 'klezmer' music (traditional secular music of Ashkenazi and Hasidic Jews, characterized by use of the accordion, fiddle and clarinet).
