Design: The monoline script was created by a pen with a flat circular end to its steel nib.

History: The Asch label, launched by Moses Asch around 1941, lasted until 1948. Label scan courtesy of Harvey Golden of the U.S.A. The song title, 'I thank God for America,' was a sentiment no doubt echoed by many Jews who had managed to escape persecution from Nazi-occupied Europe.
