Design: The layout is obviously based on the V-Disc design. The positive/negative split of the label name illustrates the design advantages to be explored in lithography, which freed type reproduction from the inherent limitations imposed by the 500-year old tradition of metal type.

History: Evidently a companion series to the V-Discs, produced for the entertainment of American forces overseas by a special division of the U.S. War Department. Label scan courtesy of jazzologist and collector Dave Dixon of Canada.
