Academie Tcheque

Académie Tchèque (Czechoslovakia) / c. 1949

back next

Design: A plain design using simple elements, intended for library reference rather than point-of-sale appeal. In the sans serif lettering around the outside, an inverted triangle is used for the cross-bar of the capital A, and positioned to the left instead of being centred.

History: The Czechoslovakian music arts school Académie Tchèque was founded in Prague in 1945. This recording seems to be a one-off, produced in cooperation with the Pathé organization of France and the University of Paris.
