Design: A complete departure from earlier Vocalion labels, this design was introduced in 1935. The main panel consists of a left-leaning scroll, the open spaces being filled in with flowing, organic tendrils. The angular vertical Gothic used for the label name is underlined by softly-rounded scrollwork. The design gains strength by the type being reversed out of black.
History: Aeolian sold the Vocalion label to Brunswick in 1924. In 1930 it was resold to Warner Bros.
