Ultraphon 17

Ultraphon (Czechoslovakia) / c. 1938

Design: Once again, the Ultraphon label name is positioned to follow the outer edge of the lower segment, instead of its more usual place around the top. The graphic image, with its fine outlines successfully contrasting with the solid block of colour, is extremely powerful, the viewer's eye always being drawn into the centre.

History: As previous. Label scans above and below courtesy of collector Gabriel Gössel of Czechoslovakia, who writes: "Label on the recording of a popular song about a girl with a red skirt."
