The Victory 3

Victory (U.K.) / c. 1932

Design: A very attractive update, with the word 'The' deleted from the label name. Contained within a beautiful scroll, the label name is lettered in calligraphic Romano-Gothic caps. Behind the scroll is an oak-leaf and acorn tapestry (symbolizing strength, longevity and victory), and the illustration of Nelson's Victory flagship is nicely redrawn.

History: Label scan courtesy of collector Owen Burgess of Canada.
