Design: The label is from the same parentage as the previous label (the Nippon Teikoku Gramophone Co. of Nara), which at first used a label name of Teichiku, but was altered to Teitiku, as here.

History: The Teikoku Gramophone Co. was founded in 1935. Label scan courtesy of collector Philip Alexander of the U.S.A., who relates that this label was from one of several 78 rpm records recovered from a Japanese fox-hole during WWII by his father, who was serving with the American military forces in the Pacific theatre of war at that time.
