Design: A plain design, printed in orange (of course), featuring the chunky, stylized Oranjeboom ('orange tree') logo, bearing three leaves and three fruits. The label name is unimaginatively arranged, being typeset in a condensed font that would seem to date from the Victorian era. The contrasting border, which looks rather like a section of orange peel, is based on fine-line engraving, such as appeared on bank notes. The imprinted text is set in Korinna, a font designed in the early 1900s in Germany.
History: Evidently a promotional disc produced for the Oranjeboom Brewery, which was founded in 1671 in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Label scan courtesy of collector Klaas Vonk of The Netherlands.
