Design: A lively typographic design, with striking contrast between the block-lettered label name 'Kristall' and the script-written sub-heading '4 Schlager.' The pair of song titles are divided logically either side of a centre line below the spindle hole. The corporate name and address run round the outer edge, again in a very stylish, widely letterspaced typeface.
History: Label scan courtesy of collector Georg Richter of Germany, who writes: "In 1933 Kristall 4 Schlager was a short-lived experiment of the Deutsche Crystalate GmbH of Berlin. Two songs were packed onto each side [hence the '4' designation], achieved by reducing groove distance and volume, which unfortunately resulted in a drop in sound quality."
