Ermophon (Czechoslovakia) / c. 1938

Design: The label name, in a strictly-rhythmed condensed pseudo-brush script, is made as large as possible, with an extremely distorted initial 'E' that is ruthlessly forced into the space available at the top of the upper segment.

History: Label scan courtesy of collector Gabriel Gössel of Czechoslovakia, who notes: "This is another example of the exploitation of Artiphon matrices by an unidentified Czech distributor."
