Design: The label name is lettered in a heavy pen pseudo-Gothic with a very small 'x-height' and wide proportions. The choice reflects the historical or traditional nature of the recordings; the French treatment of the Gothic letterform was not as narrow and vertically-oriented as the German.
History: Seemingly a 'vanity' label, since the featured singer's name is Lagriffoul. Marie Lagriffoul was an authority on French folk music; 'Auvergne' and 'Rouergue' are districts of France. Label scan courtesy of musicologist and collector Bill Dean-Myatt of the U.K.
