Columbia 7

Columbia (Turkey) / c. 1936

back next

Design: The standard Columbia format, but all the wording is in Turkish. The label name lettering has also been redrawn, the lowercase having practically zero ascender height (note that the top of the 'b' is lower than the dot on the 'i'). The standard of printing is poor, but then gold is a difficult ink to work with because of its 'greasy' consistency.

History: As previous. Label scan courtesy of collector Ken Hagelthorn of the U.S.A.
