Design: The CSSM logo is a typical Victorian monogram, the intertwined letters showing pseudo-medieval/oriental influences, both of which were strong in the late Victorian era. The black-letter font used for the label name and address is the popular Cloister Black, designed in 1904 in the U.S.A., and often used by printers for its religious connotations.
