Brillant-Special (Germany) / c. 1932

Design: The same blocky treatment as the previous label for the label name, again with unorthodox letter shapes; the border has been simplified to a bold line. However, the logo has been completely altered, to represent a musical staff.

History: Label scan courtesy of music researcher and collector Bill Dean-Myatt of the U.K. Thanks for info to collector Georg Richter of Germany, who writes: "According to [German discographer] Mr. Lange, this was an independent company in Berlin-Wilmersdorf, Wilhelmsaue, manufacturing cheap records for sale in chain stores between 1930 and 1936, and was the predecessor of the Tempo label -- after 1936 many Brillant recordings were reissued on the Tempo label."
